Velco is a medium- sized company based in Germany. Since more than 50 years we supply equipment for the Foundry, Iron & Steel and the Refractory Industry.
Our equipment range are refractory gunning machines, gunning manipulators and pneumatic injection equipment.
From simple gunning machines to automatic gunning robots we develop robust tailor made solutions for high quality refractory installation.
Our pneumatic injection equipment can be used at EAF for foaming slag creation by injection of carbon or lime. Further applications are slag suppression, addition of EBT filler sand or secondary metullurgy in the ladle furnace.
In the foundry industry our machines are used for gunning repairs at cupola or induction furnaces. Resp. for injection of carbon fines for carburization.

Carbon/ Lime injection installation for EAF
A good foaming slag is essential for the operation of an EAF. To allow this carbon fines are injected into the melt under the addition of oxygen. For good slag conditioning lime can be injected pneumatically.
